CPI Intensifies Preparations for Hyderabad Civic Polls; Koonamneni Sambasiva Rao Calls for Booth-Level Mobilisation and Voter Outreach

Hyderabad: With the forthcoming Hyderabad, Malkajgiri, and Cyberabad Municipal Corporation elections on the horizon, Communist Party of India (CPI) State Secretary and MLA Koonamneni Sambasiva Rao has directed party cadres to launch an extensive grassroots mobilisation campaign, emphasising booth-level organisation and sustained engagement with voters to reinforce the party’s electoral presence.

Addressing a high-level organisational review meeting at the CPI State Headquarters, Makhdoom Bhavan, chaired by CPI State Assistant Secretary E.T. Narasimha and State Secretariat Member V.S. Bose, Koonamneni outlined the party’s electoral roadmap before State Committee members from Hyderabad, Rangareddy, and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts.

Calling grassroots workers the backbone of the party’s electoral machinery, Koonamneni urged booth committees and polling agents to establish continuous interaction with voters, understand local civic concerns, and facilitate timely resolution of public grievances. He asserted that strengthening the party at the grassroots level would be pivotal to enhancing its performance in the upcoming municipal elections.

Highlighting the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls across Telangana, the CPI leader advised party workers to remain vigilant throughout the voter verification and enrolment process. He cautioned against the inadvertent deletion of eligible voters’ names and instructed cadres to actively assist citizens in ensuring accurate voter registration and seamless participation in the electoral process.

Emphasising democratic participation as the cornerstone of free and fair elections, Koonamneni reiterated that every eligible citizen must be protected from wrongful exclusion during the revision of electoral rolls. He urged party activists to work closely with local communities to safeguard voting rights and strengthen public confidence in the electoral system.

The meeting was attended by CPI State Committee members M.D. Yusuf, Balaraj, G. Damodar Reddy, Uma Mahesh, Stalin, B. Venkatesh, Chandramohan, Narasimha, Kamatham Yadagiri, K. Dharmendra, along with several senior leaders and party functionaries from the three districts.
