Hyderabad Youth Federation Demands Dharmendra Pradhan’s Ouster, Seeks Total Dissolution of NTA Over Exam Scam Fallout

Addressing the gathering, AIYF Telangana State Working President Nirlekonti Srikanth delivered a stinging critique of the ruling establishment, contending that the education portfolio had, under the present dispensation, been progressively stripped of its institutional credibility. He asserted that the NTA—conceived as a guarantor of examination sanctity—had instead, through what he termed the Minister’s own culpable negligence, degenerated into an agency synonymous with dysfunction and, in his words, a source of anguish for the very students it was meant to serve.

Srikanth further alleged that this pattern of official inertia was symptomatic of a wider governmental unwillingness to reckon with institutional failure, reiterating AIYF’s twin demand: Pradhan’s swift removal and the NTA’s complete abolition, measures he described as indispensable to any credible restoration of public trust.
Delhi Police Action Draws Federation’s Ire
The Hyderabad protest also functioned as a vehicle for condemning the baton charges and tear-gas measures deployed by Delhi Police against students demonstrating in the national capital. AIYF characterised the response as an unwarranted show of force against what it insisted were peaceful assemblies of students and civil society activists agitating over paper leaks, graduate unemployment, and the broader disquiet gripping India’s education sector.
Srikanth cautioned that a continuation of such heavy-handed conduct risked precipitating a far wider youth mobilisation, warning that the patience of India’s student community was being tested well beyond reasonable limits.
The demonstration was organised under the aegis of the All India Youth Federation and drew participation from the organisation’s Hyderabad district leadership, alongside cadre members from across the city.
